Your adventure begins in Rome, the eternal city, where you have three days to immerse yourself in the glorious culture, lose yourself in the winding streets, crammed with architectural wonder and marvel at the big tickets, the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Roman Forum…..there are genuinely just so many! After you tear yourself away from Italy’s beautiful capital city, you will board your first train, and take a stunning journey through the undulating hills of Tuscany, spotting many of its famous hill-towns as you make your way to one of the most exquisite cities on earth, Florence.
As well as some time to explore Florence, you will be taken on a half day to Chianti, famed for its delicious local produce. Here, you will visit a local family-run vineyard and after touring its jaw-dropping location, you will indulge in a wine tasting, accompanied by mouthwatering local produce.
And, as if this was not enough, you then head to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Cinque Terre. With your included Park Card, you will be able to jump on and off the local rail service that links the five colourful villages that cling to the cliffs above the Adriatic Sea. It is hard to put into words the beauty of this part of Italy, the rugged trails that link the villages, resplendent in verdant greens, clashing perfectly with the rich blue of the sea. Sitting with an ice-cold glass of white, feasting on freshly caught seafood as the sun sets, leaving you with a warm, tranquil night in these cobbled, colourful towns. Sheer heaven.
